Is my blog a mid-life crisis?

midlifecrisisThere sure is a lot of heavy shit on this blog. Sometimes I feel like a teenager, exploring my feelings and belief systems for the first time.

But I’m pretty sure it’s not symptomatic of a mid-life crisis.

How can I be sure? Because a mid-life crisis suggests a sudden realisation of time running out and an urgent need to catch up on missed opportunities and pack in a lot of stuff (code for sex) as quickly as possible. Whereas for me, this blog has opened up a fresh perspective on life, and I feel like I have all the time in the world to rant, explore, examine and pontificate.

There is no crisis here, and I reckon I’m far too young for a mid-life anything. You’ve got to be, like, middle-aged or something for that, surely?
